CAMPBELL

11-01-1995

Campbell came to us as MONTY, at 11 weeks.  He came to the States with us at 2 years of age from Grenoble, France.  A true Golden to the core, will eat virtually anything that humans will, loves to cuddle, and has selective hearing!! This is him on the beach in Northern California, Easter, 2005

ODIN

06-30-1999

Odin is a Border Collie/Golden Retriever Cross.  Adopted from Inyo County Animal Shelter at 12 weeks of age.  He's full of energy and loves to run, retrieve and swim.  His all time favorite is to keep the other dogs in line, and round them up when we're out on hikes. His best friend is Nicki, below.

BAILEY

Gotcha Day 04-08-2003

Bailey's age is unknown. He was in very poor shape when we picked him up from Riverside City and County Animal Shelter in April of 2003.  The longer he's here the younger he seems.  Bailey did try living with another Golden, Tessa, and humans, Roger and Nancy, for a while, but he's back in Bishop to stay. A real worry wart, he follows me around 24/7.

TAEGAN

09-04-2005

Taegan was adopted from a San Diego County Shelter on January 15th, 2006.  She is a beautiful, calm, friendly and happy girl.

NICKI

07-04-1997 to 10-21-2005

Nicki is a  Shepherd cross.  She also came from the Inyo County Animal Shelter, at about 7 months old.  She was extremely frightened of everyone at first, and had some very anti social behavior...like standing on the dinning room table, chewing up leather shoes and boots etc.

Took about six months to get her settled in, and  she was everybody's favorite because she was so mellow and easy going

Nicki left us for a kinder place on Friday 21st October, 2005. Tuesday 18th October she began coughing, and Wednesday 19th was diagnosed with HEMANGIOSARCOMA, an insidious cancer.

The picture bottom left was Tuesday morning before the fateful cough developed.  She was her usual bouncy self on our two hour hike in the Buttermilks

The photo below is our beautiful girl on Thursday 20th October

GEMMA

RB 05-24-2004

Gemma is our first Rainbow Bridge Golden.  She was only with us for 7 short months, after being in rescue for a little over a year.  She had her "grumpy" moments, because she really wanted ALL of the attention ALL of the time. She insisted the sofa was HERS and hers alone...although she would share it with Bailey! She was a happy girl, who loved dinner time, and going for walks.   She went quietly to RB on the 24th  May, 2004 after suffering severe neurological damage from several hours of seizures. She was about 12 years old.  We all miss her a great deal
